2) In a study, Loftus (1975) asked each participant one of two versions of a question:

1. Do you get headaches frequently, and if so, how often?

2. Do you get headaches occasionally, and if so how often?

For one version of the question, the average response was 2.2 headaches per week, while for the other version of the question, the average response was .7 headaches per week.

(a) Which version of the question do you think received which average response? Explain.

(b) Suggest another wording of the question that would be less vague.
